The Day - News service
Graveney has an annual subscription to an online news service for schools, called The Day.
The Day aims to make students into critical and questioning thinkers about all the main issues of today, broadening their horizons and connecting them to the world of news at a level they can access.
On the website you will find daily news stories and archives of past articles, helpfully divided up into subject relevance, under ‘List by curriculum’ in the top menu. Set the reading age to 5 as shown here:
