information regarding Centres For Private Candidates
Graveney School does not accept applications from private candidates.
If you would like to re-sit any of your GCSEs, AS or A Levels, there are private centres who can support you in this.
The following colleges accept applications from private candidates:
David Game College accepts private candidates for Pearson/Edexcel and AQA only and charges around £350-415 per subject. You do not have to register for tuition (which would cost significantly more).
Campbell Harris charge around £350 per A level and £200 per AS level. You do not have to register for tuition (which would cost significantly more).
London Brookes can offer almost any exam board for around £270,
Collingham for £350.
Southfields Academy offer a range of GCSEs, AS and A Levels for approximately £220-395.
What to do
When you register as a private candidate you must give the centre your UCI which is the long number at the top of your exam slip and this will enable the exam board to link your new exams to your previous results. You will also be required to visit the college in person for an identity check prior to the examination.
Private centres are well versed in the process and if you take your results slips along with you it should make the process of registering to re-sit quite straightforward.
Options for distance learning
A number of organisations offer remote tuition which you may wish to consider, the cost is generally much less than face to face tuition and may be more compatible with a gap year.
