U18 Rugby Team Triumphant

Yesterday Graveney girls represented Wandsworth in the U18 Girls Rugby 7’s London finals. We returned Champions of London!

The girls were exceptional, winning their games 26-12, 36-4, 46-0, 46-0. As the day progressed we started to draw attention. A crowd of RFU representatives and England international players all crowed the pitch to watch the outstanding display of rugby.

 The level of skill, teamwork and individual brilliance blew the opposition away. This is a very talented group of girls who have made incredible progress in such a short space of time!

I am currently in talks with Harlequins rugby to arrange a trial for several of the team. I have no doubt that if this the path they choose that you will see them gracing the turf of Twickenham in the years to come. All those present from the rugby world yesterday were in awe of our athletes.

Please congratulate them as wish them luck as we try our luck again on Friday at Rosslyn Park 7’s (the biggest schools rugby tournament in the world)
