Astronomy
At Graveney we know that Astronomy is a subject that fascinates many of our students. Because of this we have created lots of opportunities for them to get involved:
Oppenheimer Observatory
We are proud that our newest building contains an Observatory. When the telescope is installed into the observatory, we will provide opportunities for all of our students to observe astronomical objects.
GCSE Astronomy
Students at Graveney have the opportunity to study GCSE Astronomy in Years 9 & 10 as a twilight subject. The course teaches students about:
- Planets
- The Sun
- Stellar Evolution
- Celestial observation
- Cosmology and much more…!
