Wimbledon Bookfest Young Writers Competition

The results of the Wimbledon Bookfest Young Writers competition are in and we are delighted to announce that two students were named the overall Winner in KS5 and the Runner Up in KS3 which is amazing!
Very well done to them and to our many other young writers whose stories and poems were commended and highly commended by the judges. 

Students from all key stages were asked to create a poem or story using the idea of The Tree as the inspiration or starting point, then the best three from each age group were entered into the competition.

The pieces will be published in The Wimbledon BookFest 2022 Anthology of Stories & Poems and students will receive their Anthologies and a certificate at a prize giving event as part of the Word Up Festival for schools at the New Wimbledon Theatre in September.
