Students visit to the Story Garden

On a day out for Bertha Earth Ambassadors in year 7, that happened at the end of November, thirty year 7s visited The Story Garden community garden behind the British Library https://www.globalgeneration.org.uk/story-garden for a day of activities to connect them to nature. The Story Garden was once an acre of brownfield between the British Library and St Pancras and is now a thriving community garden .

Students took part in lots of activities including:  weaving, woodworking – making bug hotels, gardening and cooking the lunch which included picking herbs and vegetables.

The Bertha Earth project runs all year with weekly workshops and a residential trip coming up in the summer term. Graveney are proud to be a part of it.
