Graveney School

National Finalists of Rise Up Digital Challenge

Ten of our Year 11 media studies students did themselves and the school proud when they got through to the finals of this year's Rise Up Digital Challenge.

Graveney was the only school out of the 60 chosen to take part, to receive two nominations for the final twelve.

This is a national competition to create and pitch ideas for a digital marketing campaign that addresses a key issue directly impacting the lives of young people and aims to change society for the better. The students attended the awards ceremony at Channel 4 on Tuesday afternoon and although we didn't win the big prize, Clementine, Imogen, Holly, Aeliya and Megan were runners up with their brilliant #socanyou campaign. This is an incredible achievement and the judges were absolutely blown away by the quality of the pitch and presentation skills.

The quality, passion and conviction of both groups' presentations meant that our students and school received a 'Highly Commended' award from the judges, so congratulations to Ellie, Tara, Dhruvika, Hannah and Maddie as well.
