Sixth Form students got together to welcome Year 12s at a Big Coffee Morning which raised £216 for cancer charity Macmillan. In the tradition of Bake Off we also introduced a competitive element to the sale with winning bakes from Aisha Akram, Callum Nunan and Murid Laly. All three winning cakes were delicious, as were the many others made by our talented students and tutors!
Year 13 hosted a very successful Fresher’s Fair for the Sixth Form on Wednesday 16th September. The hall was packed with students eager to join one of the many clubs on offer and with staff and students keen to promote them
As part of Careers Day, Year 9 pupils quizzed staff from Carillion Construction about working in STEM jobs.
Congratulations to our University Challenge team who came first when they went up against 19 other teams from around London.The winning team Ashvini Rae, Mia Liyanage, Adam Cox and Naomi Havell represent Graveney at the national final - a marvellous achievement.
Graveney students Sam Wells and Matt Hooks, and Ed Day and Lulu Senft were nominated for Best Short Film and Best Documentary respectively, at the EMC Media Magazine Production Awards at the BFI this week.
We came away winners with Ed and Lulu picking up the "Best Documentary" Award.
Graveney recently welcomed former Ambassador to Hungary Nigel Thorpe, who spoke to Year 10 History students about the Cold War.
